Bridal Shower?

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would try to revitalize the blog as the wedding day is nearing! I spoke with Kim about planning a bridal shower for some time in July. We're tentatively thinking the second weekend in July would work for both of us, but I want to know if that time works for you two as well.

Let me know what weekends work with your schedule, and then hopefully we can start hammering the details out for the bridal shower.

I'm looking forward to planning this shindig with you all and I hope everyone is doing great!

    So a calshakes show opens on July 9th (sat). I may have to work that day, but not past 5, and I'm free that whole Sun, plus every night the following week (work till 6, but it'll be downtime after a show opens).

    So yes, it will work?

    The 10th sounds good... we might need to do it during the earlier part of the day so I can drive back up to Davis that same night (or I might be able to get some vacation time). So, when do we need to mail invitations/ let guests know to save the date? Kim, any etiquette tips on this? :)

    it looks like invites should be sent out about 4 weeks in advance. i'll get a list of names & addresses for you, and when my parents come back from Boston, I'll ask my mom what she thinks about having it at the house (though I suspect that will be overwhelming for her, considering all the renovations that they're working on!)

    SO excited!! i'm putting the 10th on my calendar! (and yes, let's do it earlier in the day, so marina can head back. we could do 11 o'clock brunch/lunch or something...)

    yay!

    i was thinking... to keep costs lower for you ladies, we could do a tea party/brunchy thing with fruit salad and croissants and little breakfasty finger foods.

    do whatever you'd like, i just don't want it to be a big burden on you guys :)

    i'm SO super excited! can't wait!!!
